Stop at Nizwa Fort
Start the tour with visit to Nizwa Fort which is famous for its massive circular cannon tower, antiques and silver jewelry. You will visit the ancient Nizwa Fort whose history dates back to the 12th century. It was built by Sultan Bin Saif Yaruba, the first imam of the Yaruba Dynasty. When inside the fort, you’ll be thrilled to pass through its ancient doorways, narrow staircases and corridors, high-ceiling halls, and a maze of rooms. As Nizwa is a town that is surrounded by date palms, one can enjoy an amazing view of the entire town and its date plantation from the top of the tower.
Stop at Nizwa Souq
You would then pass through the traditional Nizwa souq, a place where you find hand-carved ceremonial daggers, called the ‘khanjars’, and ornate silver jewelry.
Stop at Misfat Al Abreyeen
Further proceed to Misfah Al Abreyeen, 500 year old picturesque village on a steep slope at the foot of Jebel Shams. It is one of the most beautiful village consists of old houses of mud and palm frond roofs, beautiful wadis , several hiking’s points. It has a falaj system for many orchards, date palms, and vegetables, it’s worth to spend some time walking around the village. Then continue the visit to ancient village of Al Hamra.
Stop at Jebel Shams
Then we drive up to Jebel Shams Mountain (The Grand Canyon), 3009 meters high in the Al Hamra town. It is best known as ‘The Grand Canyon of Arabia’ or the ‘Omani Grand Canyon’ and one of the most adventurous mountains in Oman, offering existing off-road experience and fantastic views.

Stop at Jibreen Castle
Start the journey with first stop at Jabreen Castle, one of the whimsical and well-preserved castles in Oman that was built in the 1600s. Observe the fine calligraphy etched into the walls, hand-painted ceilings, hand-carved door frames, decorative arches, windows and balconies.
Visit Nizwa - The cultural city of Oman. Check out the handicrafts, spices, Omani sweets, and dates. Visit Misfat al Arbaeen village. It lies on the slopes of Jabal shams. The next day morning visits the Grand Canyon for trekking, which is 4 hours then visit Jabreen castle and see the local architecture.
