In the morning meet with the guide at the hotel lobby and proceed on the tour.
First, we will visit the town of Nizwa, which was once the capital of Oman, and go through the traditional and craft Souk where you can buy some souvenirs before visiting the Fort of Nizwa with its large circular tower and imagine life inside the Fort in the 17th century. The breathtaking view from the tower will show you how big the plantation is.
After we will continue to the small village of Al Hamra. This venerable village at the foot of the Hajar Mountains is one of the oldest in Oman, and it is interesting for its well-preserved row of two- and three-story mud-brick houses built in the Yemeni style. There are many abandoned houses in the upper parts of the village, which make for an atmospheric stroll, especially at sunset when the honey-colored buildings appear to melt into one. Walk-in oasis. On the way back we will make a stop near Tanuf city ruins.
Back to Muscat hotel.
