The Gulf of Oman is rich in marine life including marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, dorado, trivially, kingfish, Baracuda, etc.

We offer fully equipped boats with experienced professional skippers who have a good knowledge of the waters of Muscat. Trolling, and bottom fishing equipment are available in the fishing boat. We have big game fishing for 4 hours, 6 hours, and 8 hours.

Soft drinks, water, and snacks are available on board. Catering is also possible on request. We offer you a great fishing experience.

Big game fishing in Muscat is a bit of an exception to our philosophy at Mountain Valley Holidays in that there is no way to do it cheaply. Big game fishing is like a lottery, you just don't know if you will get lucky. What we do is increase your chances of catching something big and capturing that photo of your life better than anyone else. There is no doubt that we have the best captains, the best boats, and the best equipment.

What is big game fishing like?

We fear this call! What can we say...We'll always tell you the truth...Maybe we should say "well today wasn't so good" But then you can be sure that the next day someone will catch three sailfish at once (yes, it happened) or someone catches a yellowfin over 90 kg. Or we say "today was fantastic" and yes you can bet there will be a big disappointment the next day

We have to be honest and say it's not as good as it used to be. But it is a common problem in many parts of the world with dwindling fish stocks. We used to regularly shoot yellowfin tuna over 90kg, but then longliners were allowed to fish in the water, and in 2007 we were hit by a massive Cyclone Gonu which seemed to have an effect on the marine habitat. Thankfully the longlines have been sent home and we are now seeing an improvement in big game fishing.

The Gulf of Oman is rich in a variety of fishes including MahiMahi (Dorado), Yellowfin Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, and Barracuda. Our Omani captains are good sound knowledge about the best fishing places in Muscat waters on the day. Boats are equipped with the professional right equipment.
