Oman, a country in the middle-east, is an amalgamation of nature’s beauty and cultural abundance. Located at the south-eastern coast of Arabian Peninsula, the Sultanate of Oman represents the most strategic desert location to explore the nature’s divine beauty, where the lush mountains and the breath-taking beaches will rejuvenate your soul. Oman is enriched with the beauty of nature’s abundance. You are bound to get mesmerized by the most spectacular forts that speak some ancient glory through their architectures. Get ready to experience one of the great camping tour. The journey starts with a visit to Nakhal. Tucked away by the palm grooves, and sighted with a backdrop of the Hajar Mountains, Nakhal comes as an important tourist destination in Oman as it comprises of a 350-year-old ancient fort. Take a brief halt at the hot springs of Ain Towarah .Proceed to Al Hamra.​

Muscat Embark on a beautiful tour jorney. ​  ​
Nakhal​ Drive about 80 km further to reach Nakhal. Visit the 350-year-old magnificent fort located at the top of a rocky mountain cliff, surrounded by date plantations. The restored ancient fort has been decorated with traditional furniture and handicraft articles. Enjoy yourself a 360-deg panoramic view from the top of the fort.​
Ain Al Thowarah After the fort visit, pass through a near-by winding road lined by palm trees that leads to the ‘Hot Springs of Ain Al Thowarah’. The springs that emerge from the Wadi walls is routed into a ‘falaj’ or water channel for irrigating the farms close-by.​ A popular picnic spot​
Wadi Bani Awf – Snake Canyon Proceed to The “Snake Canyon” a very narrow gorge situated in the middle of “Wadi Bani Awf”. ​
The wadi leads directly to the picturesque Snake Gorge, which gets its name from the colubrine effect created by the mountains that "snake" through it. The gorge contains waterfalls emerging from its rocky walls, plenty of natural pools, and colossal boulders all around.​
Experience the thrilling drive on this  very steep road.​
Bilad Syat The most picturesque mountain village Bilad Sayt with the old houses descend in a cascade along the mountainside, above the emerald greenery of the palm oasis and agricultural “terraces” where the locals grow their crops. ​  ​
Al Hamra Here, you will get to see 400-year-old, well-preserved, traditional mud houses, and experience the ‘Falaj’ Overnight Stay.​

Bahla​ Proceed to Bahla, a UNESCO World Heritage site town that lays in the Ad Dakhiliyah region of Oman. It is one of the oldest fortresses (13th-century fortress) in the country. You can have a visit to the pottery factory and experience traditional Omani handcrafts at Bahla.​ Don’t get startled by a few bats in dark rooms of the fort.​
Jabrin Castle Proceed to Jabrin Castle located roughly at a distance of 50 km from the hotel. Jabrin Castle is one of the whimsical and well-preserved castles in Oman that was built in the 1600s. Don’t forget to observe the fine calligraphy etched into the walls, hand-painted ceilings, hand-carved door frames, decorative arches, windows and balconies, when here!​ You’ll find an auto-guide that lasts 25 mins near the entrance that would fill you in with all necessary details.​
Wadi Ghul Continue the journey for the next 15 km until you enter Wadi Ghul. Wadi Ghul is an abandoned village located in the north-western region of Al Hamra town of Oman. It a pretty village nearer to our next destination, Jebel Shams, Oman’s highest peak.  ​
Jebel Shams Move approximately 40 km ahead to visit the ‘Grand Canyon of Oman’. Jebel Shams is a mountainous region in the Al Hamra town. It nestles the highest mountains of Oman and is an important tourist destination. The word ‘Jebel Shams’ translates into ‘Mountain of the Sun’ since it receives the first sunrise of the region. A moderate temperature of the mountains during the summers make it an ideal location to beat the Arabian heat. People coming here indulge in various activities including hiking, exploring near-by villages, camping and star-watching, night photography, etc. The stunning view of Al Nakhr Canyon or The Grand Canyon of Arabia from Jebel Shams is sure to leave you spell-bound!​ You’ll stop by for 45 min. Take a deep look into the Wadi Ghul from the canyons to enjoy a spectacular view!

Nizwa​ You will be driven to the historic town of Nizwa, Oman’s cultural capital as a first thing, this morning. It is located at a distance of about 160 km from Muscat. Nizwa is famous for its massive circular cannon tower, antiques and silver jewellery. You will visit the ancient Nizwa Fort whose history dates back to the 12th century. It was built by Sultan Bin Saif Yaruba, the first imam of the Yaruba Dynasty. When inside the fort, you’ll be thrilled to pass through its ancient doorways, narrow staircases and corridors, high-ceiling halls, and a maze of rooms. As Nizwa is a town that is surrounded by date palms, one can enjoy an amazing view of the entire town and its date plantation from the top of the tower. ​

You would then pass through the traditional Nizwa souq, a place where you find hand-carved ceremonial daggers, called the ‘khanjars’, and ornate silver jewelry. ​​

Fort timings:
Saturday to Thursday: Open from 9 am to 4 pm & Friday: Open from 8 am till 11 am. ​
Look from the top of the tower to enjoy a glimpse of the gorgeous mountains. And when in Nizwa, don’t forget to get some souvenirs back home!​
Birkat AL Mouz One of the most famous villages in ruins in the Sultanate. Listed in Unesco World Heritage sites as home to old falaj Irragation system , Birkat Al Mouz site famous for 2 sets of ruins, a large banana plantation and the scenic surroundings. ​​ Recommended stop on the way to the mountains of Jebel Akhdar.​
Green Mountain Also known as ‘The Green Mountain’, Jebel Akdhar is a part of the Al Hajar Mountains. This mountain range is mostly composed of limestone and forms one of the highest peaks in Oman. The moist land of Jebel Akdhar allows the growth of trees and shrubs that produce fruits such as pomegranates, walnuts, apricots, black grapes and peaches.​ Just immerse yourself into the breathtaking ​beauty of the majestic mountains and the little ​villages around!.​

Wahiba Sands Proceed to The Wahiba Sands, known for its exotic desert beauty. You will travel from the hotel to the Wahiba Sands for a mesmerizing experience. You would go on a jeep-tour through the white, black, orange and golden dunes of the desert.

Sit back and enjoy your ride as our skilled driver maneuvers through the ever-changing colours of the desert sand!​

You’ll enjoy a scenic jeep drive through the shining, golden sand dunes of Wahiba Sands.​
Visit a Bedouin Settlement Visiting the Wahiba Sands calls for a stopover by a Bedouin family. Bedouins are the group of nomadic Arabic people who consider themselves as ‘true Arabs’! ​ This stopover comes as an OPTIONAL one that includes added charges. If need be, you would halt for 30 min before proceeding to the next destination.​
Wahiba You will get to the hotel at Jebel Al Akdhar and spend your night there.​ Overnight stay​

SUR the prominent port city of OMAN will serve you with all shades of blue water. Mostly it’s the costal landscape with white architecture with the ancient suspension bridge connecting two suburbs adds to its beauty. Previously, SUR was famous for its Dhow Shipyards and they still produces the wooden vessels in most traditional ways. The most visited tourist attraction from Sur City is Ras Al Jiz Turtle reserve (approx 51 kms drive) which has unique Green Turtles can be experienced live while they are in their birthing cycles.​

Wahiba Sands​ Pamper yourself with illustrious breakfast hospitality at the world famous Arabian heritages. Check-out from the camp. ​
Wadi Bani Khalid Travel about 300 km further to reach Wadi Bani Khalid. Wadi Bani Khalid, a picturesque wadi surrounded by green palm trees, sets the perfect example for a true oasis. The wadi comprises of small pretty villages embedded in between the mountains. ​ Stop for 1 hour min here. Carry your swimsuit as the Wadi has clear deep blue, cool water that tempts you into diving right in!​
Arrive Sur Time for a short break as we welcome you to our second destination i.e. City SUR. Check-in to our Hotel. Relax, freshen-up and get ready.​  ​
Continue the Experience​ Start for Turtle Reserve Sanctuary​  ​
Ras Al Jinx Turtle​ Reserve Sanctuary Enliven your night while you watch the real Green Turtles LIVE! These turtles come from thousand miles to this shore to lay their egg. You will get a chance to see these creatures without endangering or disturbing their lives and birthing cycles. Also, you can visit the​ interactive museum, research laboratories and explore the plethora of information available if you are keen to learn more about these wonderful animals.​ You can click pictures and make videos​ BUT WITHOUT FLASH.​​
Sur Return back to the hotel relax and recline well. Overnight stay at SUR Sound sleep to rejuvenate!​​

Sur Enjoy a widespread breakfast at the hotel and get ready for the day’s tour. Kick start the day by visiting the beautiful Wadi Shab.
Qalhat Proceed about 25 km further to reach Qalhat where you’ll stop-by for 30 min. Qalhat is an ancient city and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The tour continues as you proceed to Qalhat, that was once a trade center. You would take a stroll through the remains of the city. Take a stroll across the city. This will be followed by a drive along the magnificent coastal strip of white sand beaches!!​
Wadi Shab Start the tour, you will be taken to the beautiful valley of Wadi Shab. You could take a leisure hike through the oases. The flora and fauna will keep you refreshed as you view the most amazing Wadi (small water pools), and the mountains.​ A popular tourist spot. Spend a quality time at least 30 min in complete tranquility here.​
Fins Beach Long Beautiful white sandy Beach.​ Carry swim wear ,enjoy swimming ​​
The Azure saltwater pool of Bimmah Sinkhole. You’ll start the day on a refreshing note by visiting Azure saltwater pool of Bimmah Sinkhole, located at an approximate distance of 130 km from Muscat. A sea water-filled depression, which is 30m deep, is structurally called a sinkhole. It is locally known as, “PLACE OF POWER”. Here, you get to witness the most picturesque beauty of the desert while a cool breeze from the water, filled by limestone mountain rocks, splashes you with a dash of freshness.​ Sit and relax in turquoise-blue, magical seawater; also, be prepared as you never know when your feet get nibbled by the fishes!​

You could also carry your bathing suit, just in case you want to soak in the cool water.​

Muscat Travel back to Muscat, and enjoy a good night’s sleep in the hotel. ​ Sound sleep to rejuvenate!​​
